Darren Finebloom
Darren earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology with Florida State University before completing his Juris Doctorate with the Cleveland- Marshall College of Law, where he graduated with honors.
As a former Public Defender with the Twelfth Judicial Circuit of Florida in Sarasota, Darren has represented clients charged with misdemeanors and serious felonies, and successfully won a significant number of his cases in jury trials.
Now a DUI and criminal defense attorney, he has been rated AV Preemminent, the highest rating bestowed with the highly regarded Martindale- Hubbell, and has also been honored with a “Superb”, 10 out of 10 rating from clients, peers, and fellow attorneys with the independent Avvo rating service. Additionally, Darren was recognized for his abilities with Super Lawyers Magazine, and was entitled their Rising Star for criminal defense.
Discreet and concerned with client needs, Darren prides himself for his extensive trial experience as well as his deep concern and devotion. Areas of Darren’s expertise include drug possession, criminal traffic charges, DUI, sexual assault, battery, theft, as well as other offenses.
Darren has lectured on various criminal issues, but particularly breath-testing. Furthermore, he has authored several texts regarding drug related crimes and the best practices attorneys can take to assure their clients the best defense possible.
Darren is a member of the National College of DUI Defense, serves as president of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Sarasota Chapter, and is admitted to practice before all Florida State Courts and Federal Courts.
